Paintings – Figurative

Exploring the shapes and silhouettes of a posture and of groups of people and their inter-connecting shadows provides interesting contrasts and areas for me to draw focus on.
Pattern and tone are important elements of my figurative work, and influenced by my textile background and mums love of quilting, I use material collage alongside other mixed media to create varying layers and areas of pattern, shapes and clear space.
